Undated published circa 1940s in Bombay India, this is a handsomely produced Indian edition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, bound in a cloth backed case, this edition consist of a 12 page preface followed by 16 loose leaves of text with illustrations on card, and a further 15 leaves of loose plates with text on the reverse. the illustrations by M. K. Sett have a noticeable similarity to the artwork of Aubrey Beardsley. The cloth case is just over 11 inches tall approx..

CONDITON

The cloth case has some lightening to the cloth along leading edges and partially to the interior flaps. Internally the plates have some noticeable browning to some edges else book is complete and ig good acceptable condition.

AN ACCEPTABLE EXAMPLE OF THIS BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED EDITION
