Published in 1890, this is the sated second edition of this Victorian
book on the Construction and opening of the Forth Rail Bridge in Scotland. A large
format paperback format measuring just under 14 inches tall, running to 52
numbered pages plus 40 pages of engineering business adverts.
This copy also contains all Seven of the loosely inserted
plates including the large folding one depicting the bridge engineers.
CONDITION
The book has some condition issues, both covers are
separated from the book with some edge loss as seen in photos, internally the
staples have rusted and the centre pages has become detached.
The seven loose plate have some edge wear as seen in the
pictures, the larger of of the engineers has some tears with no loss (see
pictures).
A WORN BUT COMPLETE EXAMPLE WITH ALL THE LOOSE SUPLEMENTARY
PLATES INCLUDED OF THIS SCARCE PUBLICATION.
