This is a really beautiful vintage 1960s Mid-Century Modern "gravel art" wall panel. It features a colorful, classic retro cornucopia (horn of plenty) overflowing with all kinds of fruit—like watermelon, grapes, and melons.

These were originally made from popular craft kits back in the day, where the crafter glued down metallic gold cords to outline the design, and then filled the spaces with vibrant, colorful crushed glass and gravel.

The Details:

What it’s made of: Crushed colored glass, shiny gold cording, and big purple gemstone-style grapes, all on a textured burlap background with a simple dark wood frame.

Size: It is about 36 inches wide and 13 inches tall. It’s the perfect long, horizontal shape to hang over a fireplace, a sideboard, or in a retro kitchen.

Condition:

The best part about this piece is the condition. Because the glue on these old pieces can dry out over the decades, the glass often starts falling off. This one has been incredibly well cared for. Please refer to pictures. The wood frame is strong and sturdy with just normal, very light vintage wear.

An absolute stunner!
