About This Item

This is a 1.8-shaku (approximately 55cm) bamboo shakuhachi flute by Takejii with Kinko-ryu style, weighing about 375g. The instrument features a wrapped rattan middle joint with silver three-line binding and has been professionally repaired for cracks with no air leakage; the middle joint is slightly loose and should be wrapped with tape before playing. The flute has good tone quality and sound projection, though it includes a used mouthpiece cap as a bonus.
