Osiris, the god of resurrection and reckoning, is the head of the court of the dead among the ancient Egyptians, and one of the main gods of the sacred Ennead in ancient Egyptian religion. According to ancient Egyptian religious myth, Osiris was the brother of Isis and Nephthysset, and married Isis. Their fathers are Geb, the god of the earth, and Nut, the goddess of the sky.

His real name in hieroglyph is Odir/Osir, in Arabic Odyris and in Canaanite Eziru, and his emblem is the five-pointed star, the star of the sea, not the geometric shape, which appears frequently on Egyptian beaches at the time of the flood and the beginning of the Egyptian agricultural year because of its association with goodness and agriculture.
