Vintage 1960s U.S. Air Force photo album documenting the military service and travels of named serviceman Roger Westland. 

This substantial album contains approximately 160 original photographs along with 6 pieces of related ephemera, creating a fascinating visual record of life during the Vietnam-era military presence in the Philippines.

Many photographs document life at Clark Air Base and surrounding areas between approximately 1967 and 1968, including military facilities, fellow servicemen, local Filipino culture, countryside scenes, water buffalo, beaches, swimming, classic automobiles, Air Force activities, military gatherings, and travel. Included are photographs from a military event at Clark Air Base, Philippines 1967, as well as images associated with the Stardust Raceway "Stardust 150" held March 31, 1968.

The album continues beyond military service with photographs of family life, travel, and what appears to be a wedding in which Roger participated.

Included ephemera consists of postcards, correspondence, memorabilia, and a handwritten love note, adding wonderful personal context to the collection.

Approximately 16 photographs display a purple color shift typical of aging color prints. The remaining photographs retain attractive color with expected vintage fading. Album cover has a hole/crack on the front along with normal age-related wear. Interior pages remain packed with photographs and present nicely.

A wonderful historical archive with excellent research, display, and collecting potential.

Condition

Good vintage condition. Approximately 160 original photographs plus 6 pieces of ephemera are included. Front cover has a crack/hole and expected shelf wear. Album measures approximately 11.25" x 9.5" x 1.5" and weighs nearly 4 pounds. About 16 photographs have developed a purple color shift from age, while the remainder display good vintage color with expected fading. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the description.
