Wierzbowa Street (Ulica Wierzbowa) is a historic street in Warsaw, Poland. It connects Theatre Square to Piłsudskiego Square. The street sits next to the Grand Theatre. It is famous for World War II history and beautiful old buildings.


During World War II, Wierzbowa Street, located near the grand Piłsudski Square, was a major site of German occupation, destruction, and Polish resistance. It suffered heavy bombardment, served as a staging ground for mass street executions, and was largely leveled during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
