Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic vintage pair of miniature Italian "Conca" copper water vessels.

These mid-century pieces replicate the traditional water jugs historically carried on the heads of women in regions like Abruzzo, Italy. This is a wonderful mismatched scale pair with distinct patterns, varying stages of natural copper aging, and a lovely sentimental history.

Both items are being sold exactly as found in their uncleaned, unpolished vintage state to preserve their character.

Item 1 (Larger Vessel with Note):

• Height: 4 inches

• Body Diameter: 4 inches (6 inches wide including handles)

• Detailing: Hand-stamped linear guilloche/wave pattern around the waist. Hand-twisted metal wire handles.

• Condition: Deep, dark original aged patina and oxidation in the recessed grooves. The underside retains a wonderful handwritten paper note in Italian: "A Luz con tanti bacetti la mamma" ("To Luz with many little kisses, mom").

Item 2 (Smaller Wedding Favor / Bomboniera Vessel):

• Height: 2.75 inches

Rim Diameter: 2.75 inches (4.5 inches wide including handles)

• Detailing: Intricate hand-stamped spiral/S-curve motif around the center. The inner trumpet rim features hidden hand-stamped starburst arches with fine stippling. Hand-twisted wire handles attached via interior rivets.

• Condition: Brighter, high-shine pinker copper finish with very light oxidation.
