For sale is a WW1 French Framed Medal Group To Wounded Huber Aloyse 11th Infantry 70th Reg.

This is a lovely presented display of framed World War One French medals. Held in this frame is the following;

Medal for the War Wounded (Médaille des blessés de guerre). Awarded for wounds received in the line of duty while facing an enemy.

Combatant's Cross (Croix du combattant). This is a French decoration that recognizes, as its name implies, those who fought in combat for France.

Below the medals is a little French passage that states;

“Monsieur Huber Aloyse soldat au 70 regiment d’infanterie 11. Blesse en 1914 pres morhange. Campagnes france & russie.”

Which translates to “Mr. Aloyse Huber, soldier in the 70th Infantry 11th Regiment. Wounded in 1914 near Morhange. Campaigns in France and Russia.”

This frame measures 50cm in length x 41cm height.
