About the author Toru Yoda Born in 1977 in Yamanashi Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, Department of Fine Arts, doctoral program. Doctor of art. After working as a curator at the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum, Saitama City, he is currently a part-time lecturer at Tokai University. (br) Specializes in the history of modern Japanese art and the history of the tea ceremony. His publications include Modern Art and the Tea Ceremony (Shibunkaku Publishing) and Jusanshodo Tea Ceremony (Miyaobi Publishing). (br) In June 2014, he received the 24th Tea Ceremony Culture and Academic Encouragement Prize for Modern 'Art' and Tea Ceremony.
