Up for sale is a fantastic, complete vintage time-capsule setup: an East German engineered Praktica BMS Electronic 35mm film SLR camera kit. This set comes complete with its highly desirable, matching original retail box featuring the iconic "Carl Zeiss Jena" branding.
Perfect for vintage camera collectors, analogue enthusiasts, or students looking for a premium, fully functional film kit.
Excellent vintage condition. Very clean with minimal signs of handling or age. The battery compartment is pristine, completely free from old battery leak crust or corrosion.
Fully tested with a fresh battery and working flawlessly. The electronic shutter fires accurately and changes speed precisely across all settings (from 4 seconds up to 1/1000s). The internal viewfinder LED exposure lights turn on instantly and react accurately to changing light.
ISO Dial: The safety lock works perfectly; the dial lifts up and rotates smoothly across all film speeds without catching.
Pentacon Prakticar 50mm Standard Lens: I'm not a camera expert, but to my untrained eye, the glass is beautifully clean and clear. No fungus, no heavy haze, and no deep scratches. Only standard, minor internal vintage dust particles that will not affect photos.
Mechanics: The focus ring turns smoothly and evenly. The aperture blades are completely dry, free of sticky oil, and snap open/shut instantly.
The Box Shows light, standard vintage shelf wear around the edges and corners, but it is structurally sound, clean, and proudly displays the vintage branding.
Includes the original, period-correct branded Praktica neck/shoulder carrying strap.
