Sony Alpha a5100 Mirrorless Camera (Body Only, White) – Faulty / Spares or Repair

Used – Faulty condition. The camera powers on but does not operate normally and is being sold for spares or repair.

The camera displays the message “Camera error. Turn power off then on” after taking a picture. The issue occurs consistently with or without a lens attached and also when no memory card is inserted. Multiple batteries have been tested with the same result, confirming the fault is internal.

This behaviour is consistent with a shutter mechanism or internal electronic fault. The camera cannot be used reliably in its current condition and will require repair.

Because of this fault, the camera is unsuitable for normal use and is intended for parts, repair, or refurbishment by a qualified technician.
