This is not a common NHL wax box from the late 1970s. This is a WHA issue, produced for a league that existed for only a brief window before the NHL-WHA merger. Because of that, surviving unopened WHA material is much harder to find than most mainstream O-Pee-Chee hockey products from the same period.

This is a 1977-78 O-Pee-Chee WHA Hockey Wax Box, an exceptionally scarce vintage hockey collectible from the short-lived World Hockey Association era.
