Vintage Nakanosawa Kokeshi Doll “Takobozu” by Juli Seya (1924～2004).

Juji Seya (1924–2004) was a traditional Japanese kokeshi artisan from Fukushima Prefecture.
After training as a woodturner, he studied Inawashiro-style kokeshi under Yoshizo Iwamoto.
He became well known for his highly accurate reproductions of classic Inawashiro-style kokeshi, earning recognition for his exceptional craftsmanship.
He was one of the artisans who helped popularize "Takobozu" kokeshi during the 1970s.

“Takobozu” is a distinctive character-style design and is appreciated by collectors for its expressive appearance.

A collectible Showa-period Japanese folk art piece.

Condition
This is a vintage item and shows minor scratches, discoloration, and other signs of age.
The natural aging of the wood has developed a beautiful vintage patina and warm character.
