This is a pair of vintage traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls by the craftsman Kisaku (季作).

The set includes two matching dolls in different sizes, making it an attractive display pair.

Very little reliable information about the maker is available today, and the artist remains largely undocumented, adding an element of mystery to these dolls.
