The low-slung body coating is eye-catching
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G, deployed and operated by the German army during World War II.
[About the actual car]
The Sturmgeschütz III was developed by the German army during World War II, and approximately 10,000 of various types were produced and used from 1940 until the end of the war.
Based on the widely used Panzer III family, it was the most capable German tank destroyer of WWII, and featured a fixed fighting compartment mounted on a Panzer III chassis, with the main gun mounted therein.
Compared to tanks with rotating turrets, it was easier to produce and had the advantage of being able to carry a larger gun, and its low silhouette made it effective not only for close-range support but also in anti-tank combat.
Of the many types of StuG III produced, the Ausf. G was the final production model, with 7,720 produced between December 1942 and April 1945, the most of any StuG in the series.
[About the model]
This model is a reproduction of the Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G, the type produced around July 1944, which recorded the largest production numbers.
-In addition, each part of the vehicle body is modeled with Zimmerit coating applied to protect it from magnetically attracted mines.
- The body shape and details that faithfully express the characteristics of the late production model enhance the sense of realism of the finish.
-In addition, the kit includes an aluminum metal barrel part and a 3D printed muzzle brake.
- The powerful fighting compartment is recreated with cast details and a shield whose shape is reproduced using a slide mold.
