Offered here is an original 1887 billhead from A. L. Boyer, Dealer in New and Used Furniture, Etc., Georgetown, Colorado. Measures 8.50 x 7.0. Billhead for "Funeral Expense of John Goodenough", in the amount of $40.00, and billed to the Colorado Central Consolidated Mining Company. Likely John was a miner at the CCC Mines who passed in an accident, which was quite common back in the day. It often fell to the local furniture dealer to supply a wooden casket for the deceased. Forty bucks in 1887 would have bought a pretty fine casket. Great display piece of Georgetown Funeral and Mining history. Thanks for looking!
