Description

N scale model train set of the Odakyu Romancecar NSE (3100 series) "Yume 70" special edition, 11-car formation by KATO.
Recreates the deluxe NSE 3100 series, introduced in 1963 as an upgraded sightseeing limited express, inheriting low center of gravity and articulated construction from the SE (3000 series).
Represents the later appearance after various refurbishments, including increased air-conditioning capacity, changes to the front destination display shape, modified door positions due to expanded café/shop area, and updated exterior gangway structure.
One trainset was remodeled in 1997 into the event limited express "Yume 70" to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Odakyu Electric Railway, featuring a distinctive, colorful livery and a front car with sofa seating outside the observation section.
