Offered here are two original color print photographs of an Eighteen Century Assay Balance on display in the Deutsches Museum in Munchen Germany, with the smaller photograph being mailed to the late John Shannon in Lakewood Colorado. John Shannon and his wife Geraldine, also sadly passed, wrote the book The Assay Balance Its Evolution and the Histories of the Companies Made Them. The extensive research that John did included entries and information from assay companies and museums across the world.
