This artist drawn greeting card was issued by the National Savings Committee in, I think the 1950s (could possibly be late 1940s). It is unused but is designed to have National Savings stamps affixed to the inside. The artist drawn image on the front depicts a rural scene with sun shining through the clouds - it is titled "Silver Lining" and is by Rowland Hilder. The card measures 12.1cm x 11cm and opens out to double the width.
The card is in a very good minus condition. General edge, fold end and corner rubs, the odd tiny mark to front panel, some light indentations at top of spine and all the way down rear of spine, light rubbing along spine, tiny crease at bottom of spine, a hint of browning and some tiny marks to rear panel, light bend at top and bottom edges, the odd tiny mark and fleck to inside of card. Please check scans carefully as they help with the condition too.
Please note that because of packaging laws in Germany and France requiring businesses to pay a subscription, I do not currently send items to these countries. If you are based in Germany or France please do not purchase unless you have an address outside those countries to which the item can be sent.
Please note surface mail or first class inland mail options are always available, please ask for a quote. I always refund any excess postage charges.
I try to be accurate with my descriptions but if you have any questions please contact me. Take a look at my other auctions and ebay shop items for more collectables.
