Description A beautiful English antique 18th Century Georgian solid sterling silver "Rum" decanter/bottle label by the regarded silversmiths Peter & Ann Bateman (1790 - 1799) in excellent clean condition and with English silver hallmarks for London 1794. Lovely quality and a genuine 232 years old; a nice more uncommon elliptical shape with a double reeded border and with a nice hand engraved "Rum" motif in the centre. Measures approx 1.8 inches (46mm) x 1 inches (26mm) and is 3.7 inches (93mm) in length (including the chain). Stunning silver label with its original silver chain and as a bonus there are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms. Looks out for the matching "Gin" label also currently being listed.

Date English antique 18th Century Georgian solid sterling silver, with full English silver hallmarks for London 1794, (date letter "t"). Good clear silver marks including the silver duty stamp of King George the Third and the silversmiths initials are "PB over AB" (Peter & Ann Bateman - 1790 - 1799).
  
Condition Excellent clean condition with no splits or repairs, definitely no polish holes and no knocks or dents, a beautiful undamaged genuine antique example and by top makers. Lovely quality and a very nice shape with its original silver chain and there are no added personal inscriptions. Superb early Georgian silver "Rum" bottle label. Look out for the matching "Gin" label also being listed.
