Jacobi Vanierii e Societate Jesu Praedium rusticum (The Country Estate, by Jacques Vanière of the Society of Jesus) is a celebrated 18th-century Neo-Latin didactic poem written by the French Jesuit priest and poet Jacques Vanière (1664–1739).Vanière was widely nicknamed the "French Virgil" because his work closely modeled the style, elegance, and themes of Virgil's Georgics. The poem celebrates and provides practical guidance on country life, agriculture, and estate management. Books 11-14.
