Australia – East Coast (Queensland)
Moreton Bay
From the surveys of Staff Commander J. Jeffery & Navigating Lieutenant H. J. Stanley, R.N.
Originally surveyed 1865; this is the New Edition of 1910, with updated soundings, channel corrections, and navigational notes for approaches to Brisbane.
This large official Admiralty sea chart covers the entire entrance to Moreton Bay, including Moreton Island, Bribie Island, Cape Moreton, Amity Point, Mud Island, and the shipping channels leading toward the Brisbane River. It features revised buoys, tidal information, and lighthouse positions useful to early 20th-century mariners navigating the hazardous shifting sandbanks of Queensland’s coast.
The Admiralty issued this chart specifically for use by merchant shipping, steam navigation companies, and Royal Navy vessels.
