This famille noire vase features a deep, black-glazed background adorned with finely hand-painted panels of birds and flowers. The vibrant colours - orange, green, and light blue - create a stunning contrast, highlighting the detailed craftsmanship and naturalistic themes. The vase stands on a wooden base.

Originally converted into a lamp, it remains in good condition aside from a drilled hole from the conversion. A red mark on the base suggests this piece was made in Macau, dating to the mid-20th century.
