This porcelain dish features a gently scalloped rim and a well-balanced design in both underglaze blue and enamelled overglaze. The central roundel is filled with a trefoil leaf motif in soft blue, surrounded by a band of stylised wave-like arabesques. The border is decorated with four fish, two in grey and two in iron red, swimming amidst maple leaves and segmented roundels shaded in green, yellow and red. 

The rim’s undulating shape complements the fluid, nature-inspired imagery. On the reverse, the decoration is spare and traditional, with evenly spaced blue floral motifs.
