Maker & History
Lilliput Lane was founded in 1982 by David Tate MBE in Skirsgill, Penrith, Cumbria. Every model was individually cast and hand-painted in the UK, often based on real cottages, follies, wells, shops and landmarks throughout Britain.
“Make A Wish” was issued in 1999 and represents the traditional wishing wells that once served both spiritual and practical purposes across rural England. This model is now long retired, making complete, boxed examples increasingly desirable among collectors.
