This is a awesome 1940's Sun 5,000 RPM tachometer. The model number is D-3. The Sun D series tach was the go to tach in the 40's. Most were lower RPM like 3,000. The higher RP tachs like this 5,000 RPM version were quite rare and very hard to find today. Don't miss this awesome period correct hot rod tach.
This tach is in very good original condition as shown. The dial is bright and vibrant as shown. The glass is clean and clear with with no cracks. The front bezel is excellent with no cracks or damage. This tach also has the circular chrome overlay bezel in very good condition as shown. The best part is, I tested this tach and it works as good as it looks. This is a truly amazing find.
