Beautiful Chikaramachi Japanese porcelain tea set with purple lustre glaze, Art Deco style form and colourful bird and blossom decoration. The base carries the red Chikaramachi samurai helmet backstamp, associated with Japanese export porcelain from the pre WWII period.

The set includes teapot, lidded sugar bowl, two cups and two saucers. A highly decorative and collectible Japanese tea set with strong display appeal.
