Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' One of the most beautiful selections of the Eastern arborvitae with a thick, conical shape and a moderate growth rate. Characteristic feature of the plant is intense, emerald green coloration of shoots which maintain for whole year. At the age of 10 reaches approximately 2.5m in height and 0.8m in diameter. Prefers a position in a full sun or partial shade. Grows well on fertile, acidic, permeable and moist soil. Recommended for small backyards, hedges. Advised density of planting – every 0.6m to acquire thick hedge.
