A beautiful oil on canvas of a winding river through grassy cliffs, it's attributed to the Edward H. Niemann who was painting between 1863-1867. There is a possible signature in the bottom right. The painting has been re-lined, so there is potentially one behind the frame.

It is very much of his style and of the time. Measuring 47cm by 56cm, it appears in good condition with some specs only. A beautiful scene from a talented artist.
