Welcome to this listing for a fascinating piece of mid-century American educational history. This is Treasure Chest of Fun & Fact Vol. 19, No. 9, published on January 2, 1964, by George A. Pflaum.
Distributed almost exclusively to Catholic parochial schools from the 1940s through the early 1970s, Treasure Chest is celebrated today as a highly unique anthology. It combined faith-based stories, American history, science, sports, and classic comic strips (like Chuck White and His Friends). It featured contributions from legendary Golden and Silver Age comic artists like Joe Sinnott, Fran Matera, and Reed Crandall.
This original Silver Age issue is a wonderful, nostalgic time capsule of 1960s classroom culture, perfect for collectors of vintage comics, educational ephemera, or religious history.

As a dedicated vintage collector, I believe in absolute transparency. This copy has wear typical of handled, school-distributed books of this era, but remains structurally complete and highly readable:
Overall Condition: Good (GD). A complete, intact vintage reading copy.
The Spine: The original staples are intact, firm, and holding the entire book together securely. There is a clean, single hole punch through the top of the spine (a very common archival practice for parochial school libraries in the 60s to store them in binders).
The Covers: Shows typical spine and edge wear, along with some light surface creasing, minor tears along the margins, and faint age toning.
The Pages: All pages are present, intact, and fully attached. There is some minor dog-earing/corner creasing on several pages and honest vintage off-white toning, but the colors and print remain remarkably clear and readable. No major writing or interior cut-outs.
Storage: This historic Silver Age issue comes safely bagged and boarded in collector-grade materials to prevent any future wear.
Please inspect the high-resolution photos carefully to assess the condition and cover art quality for yourself.

I pack to a high collector standard to ensure vintage paper items arrive safely:
Protection: The comic is bagged and boarded. It will be secured flat between heavy-duty, oversized cardboard "stiffeners" to prevent any bending, spine stress, or edge chipping during transit.
Outer Packaging: Shipped in a water-resistant reinforced mailer or a sturdy cardboard box for maximum security.
Domestic Shipping: I use eBay’s Simple Delivery service. This provides a fully tracked and insured journey, so you can buy with total confidence.
International Buyers: I am proudly enrolled in eBay’s Global Shipping Program (GSP). If you are ordering from overseas, eBay handles the international logistics and customs.
