Ethyl ascorbic acid is very stable, which is a plus when creating cosmetics. The acid can be dissolved in both water and oils, which simplifies the formulation. Serums and creams based on this acid are the first remedy for aging and fading skin.
Another advantage is that ethyl ascorbic acid is not very sensitive to temperature changes and is not oxidized much, it is safely stored under the influence of light. As an antioxidant, the acid can be added to a mixture of oils.
Cosmetic use of ethyl ascorbic acid:
- cosmetics for mature skin — 0.5-1%
- anti-age serums for restoring the intercellular matrix — 1.5-3%
- anti-stress skin care — 1%
