Yamaha Motion Bass MB-II, made in Japan in 1986, is now available. Part of the renowned MB series, famous for its distinctive ladybug design, this compact bass features a charming and unique head shape. Despite its unconventional form, it offers excellent playability and is highly collectible. The body is crafted from basswood, paired with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The neck measures 22.3mm at the first fret with a 38mm nut width, featuring a comfortable C-shape profile. The bass is equipped with gold hardware, including an AFB-1G bridge and Yamaha logo tuners. It has a passive HH pickup configuration (B HEART II Alnico) with two volume controls and one tone control.
This instrument shows minor cosmetic imperfections, including small dents on the body, which do not affect playability. All electronic components, including controls and jack, have been thoroughly maintained, ensuring noise-free operation. The truss rod has been adjusted and is nearly straight, with ample adjustment room for future setup. The bass has been professionally set up for optimal playability, with fret cleaning, fretboard and body cleaning, and intonation adjustments performed. The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 3mm on the 6th string and 2.8mm on the 1st string.
