Ideas: A History from Wittgenstein to the World Wide Web, in the Folio Society edition, charts the intellectual currents that have shaped contemporary thought, tracing the evolution of key ideas across philosophy, science, politics, and culture from the early twentieth century to the digital age. Beginning with the revolutionary linguistic and philosophical insights of Ludwig Wittgenstein, the narrative follows the development of modern theories of mind, language, and society, while also examining breakthroughs in physics, psychology, and technology that transformed humanity’s understanding of reality. It culminates in the rise of computers and the internet, showing how the proliferation of information has redefined knowledge itself, and highlighting the interconnected web of ideas that continues to influence how people interpret truth, identity, and progress in an increasingly globalized world.

Please review all photos for your best idea of condition. Book is in very good condition. In both volumes there are several pages with underlined sentences both in pencil and pen. The bulk of the marks were done in pencil, so they are easy to erase, but the ones in pen are permanent. I have included examples in the photo gallery of this listed for you to review. There is some light rubbing/shelf wear to the edges and panels of the slipcase.
