Roland XP-50 Vintage Music Workstation — 61 Keys, Fully Working, Original Owner Since 1996

This is a Roland XP-50 Music Workstation in excellent working condition — a true vintage workhorse from the mid-1990s. Every key, button, switch, and control functions perfectly. I am the original owner and have owned this since 1996. The XP-50 is built around the same 64-voice polyphonic sound engine as the legendary JV-1080 rack module, paired with a 16-track MRC-Pro sequencer — making it one of the most capable workstations of its era.

What makes this unit stand out: Three Roland SR-JV80 expansion boards are installed — SR-JV80-04 (Vintage Synth), SR-JV80-11 (Techno Collection), and SR-JV80-99 (Experience: Pop/Vintage Synth/Orchestral). These boards dramatically expand the onboard patch and waveform library well beyond the stock XP-50. The 3.5" floppy drive has been replaced with a new unit and is in full working order.

Internals: The unit has been opened for inspection and photography. The internals are clean with no signs of capacitor leakage. Photos of the interior are included in the listing.

Condition: Very good overall. There are two small areas of paint scuffing/chipping on the chassis sides — cosmetic wear from where the keyboard rested on a stand over the years. The keys are clean and undamaged, the orange LCD is bright and clear, and all sliders, buttons, and wheels are fully functional. Photos show both wear spots in detail.

Included: Roland XP-50 power cord; Roland XP-50 Owner's Manual; Roland XP-50 Quick Start guide; Roland DanceKit booklet; three floppy disks (Roland Demo Sample Files XP-50, DanceKit disc, and one save disk); three installed SR-JV80 expansion boards. Ships well-packed.
