Created especially for this auction, fan-favorite Emmy-winning animation director Dan Riba has done it again -- bringing his dynamic animation style to the beloved 1980s Thundercats characters. This dazzling one-of-a-kind painting depicts the moment the Thundercat's villainous mummy nemesis, Mumm-Ra, calls upon the powers of evil to transform into a superpowered monster, Mumm-Ra, the Ever Living!  Magical lightning crackles around both forms as the weak old cloaked wizard becomes a rampaging creature of unmatched strength, ready to unleash his terrifying powers against the ThunderCats.  The title of this painting may be long, but it is the exact phrase that Mumm-Ra says to invoke his fantastical metamorphosis.

Created with acrylic paint on canvas board, this piece measures 8.5X10.5 inches -- and the artwork is signed by the artist. This is the first time Dan Riba has contributed such a painting to our charity auction -- and it is certainly to become a prized piece of ThunderCats history.  Well known for his award-winning work on the legendary Batman: The Animated Series, Dan's work fetches hundreds of dollars a piece at comic conventions around the country, so don't miss out on this rare work -- as it will become a centerpiece to any fan of Thundercats or collector of animation or comic book original art -- and look fantastic in frame on your wall!

KEPYR is a volunteer charity, so 100% of your donation in purchasing this art goes to help displaced children.  This year's campaign will benefit African Youth Artistic Poetry (AYAP), a spoken word poetry collective created by young people living in Malawi's Dzaleka Refugee Camp. Through writing and performing, these children find their voices, process trauma, and claim their identity as beings beyond the label of "refugee".
