Scarce early 1900's tobacco tin

Up for sale is a scarce, authentic Edwardian-era Cope's "Cunard Line" Cigarettes hinged pocket tin, manufactured by the legendary Cope Bros. & Co. Ltd. of Liverpool & London. This prized crossover collectible features a multi-colored front lithograph depicting a classic four-funnel ocean liner of the Golden Age of seafaring cutting through the waves under the iconic red Cunard lion flag.

Condition Report

• Front Litho Graphics: Shows honest signs of age and use. There are visible light surface scratches, small chips to the paint, and minor paint loss/rubbing along the outer edges and corners. The central ship illustration remains bright, highly detailed, and displays exceptionally well despite these character marks.
• Interior & Lettering: Beautifully preserved. The inside lid retains its brilliant original gold-lacquered finish with bold, crisp black transfer text that reads: "Cunard Line" Cigarettes Specially Manufactured by Cope Bros. & Co. Ltd. Only very minor, localized age-toning spots are present.
• Mechanics: The rear hinges are fully intact, robust, and the lid opens and closes securely.
