Vintage Zariffa Egyptian Tooled Leather Music Box / Jewellery Box

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage tooled leather musical jewellery box made by Zariffa. The top features a striking, detailed Egyptian scene depicting a figure riding a camel through an oasis with palm trees and a pyramid embossed in a gold/silver tone overlay.
​When opened, the box features a textured brown fabric lining, a main storage compartment, and a smaller section with a snap-button flap. The mechanical music box mechanism is wound from the bottom and plays the classic tune "You Belong to my Heart". It stands on four protective metal domed feet.
​A perfect piece for collectors of vintage musical boxes, Egyptian revival decor, or unique vanity trinket boxes.

The item is in well-loved vintage condition with character. Please note a small mechanical quirk: The internal automatic release pin for the music box occasionally gets stuck down when the lid is opened. To get the music to play, you simply need to gently pull the pin up by hand after opening the lid, and it will play clearly.
​The exterior dark brown leather shows noticeable cosmetic wear, including heavy scuffing, rubbing, and surface peeling along the edges and on the closure strap, consistent with age and use. The interior lining is clean and intact with normal vintage age wear.
