About the Decorative Tapes
This listing is for our taped faux wood Venetian blind, supplied with 25mm decorative ladder tapes running vertically down the face of the blind.
The number of tapes shown in listing images is for illustration only. The final number of tapes is determined by the width of the blind ordered, so wider blinds will have more tapes to maintain the correct spacing and support.
Simple ordering
How to Measure & Order
Measure carefully, choose your fitting option, select the size bracket that covers your measurements,
then enter your exact Width x Drop in the personalisation box.
Ordering tip:
For a recess fit, use the smallest measurements taken across the recess. For an exact fit, enter the finished blind size you require.
Please double-check your figures before ordering, as every blind is made specifically to your measurements.
How to Measure a Bay Window
Bay windows need a little extra care so adjacent blinds meet neatly without the brackets, slats or controls clashing.
The blind projects approximately 65mm once installed, so use a 65mm-deep cardboard template to represent the blind at each corner.
Angled Bay
Make 65mm cardboard templates and position them where each blind will sit, allowing for handles and vents.
Mark where the templates meet, then measure between your marks to establish the width required for each blind.
Square or Box Bay
Decide how you want the blinds to meet at each corner, then use the same 65mm cardboard-template method to find the meeting points.
Measure between those points before ordering.
Bay window tip: We recommend ordering bay blinds as a recess fit so clearance can be allowed between neighbouring blinds.
Check all measurements carefully before placing your order.
Installation guide
How to Fit Your Blind
Follow the guides below in order. We have split the fitting instructions into separate images so each stage stays clear and easy to read on mobile.
Before You Start: What You'll Need
Have a screwdriver, drill, measuring tape, pencil and suitable screws/wall plugs ready before you begin.
What's in the Box
Your blind is supplied with the fitting components needed for installation, including the pelmet fixing pieces, box-end brackets and the child-safety device. Wider blinds also include support brackets.
Step 1: Fit the Brackets
Position and secure the box-end brackets using the most suitable top, face or side fixing for your window. Keep everything level and evenly aligned, making sure brackets do not obstruct the tilt/raise mechanisms, cords or tapes.
Support brackets: Blinds over 100cm wide include additional support brackets. Position these evenly along the headrail, avoiding the tilt/raise mechanisms, cords and decorative tapes.
Step 2: Fit the Headrail
Fit the pelmet clips/Velcro tabs first, slide the headrail into the brackets and secure it firmly in place.
Step 3: Fit the Pelmet
Attach the straight-cut pelmet to the headrail using the supplied Velcro tabs, keeping it level and secure across the full width.
Please note: The pelmet is supplied straight cut. We do not supply mitred pelmets or pelmet returns.
Step 4: Install the Child-Safety Device
Always install the supplied child-safety device and keep cords and chains safely out of reach of children.
