1888
University of California Class of ’89 “Blue and Gold” Yearbook Print Ad
This University
of California print advertisement is the original version, not a
reproduction, and it is sourced directly from the publication in which it was
featured in 1888. The advertisement promoted the fifteenth volume of the “Blue
and Gold” yearbook for the class of 1889 that “reflects faithfully the many
varied phases of student life at Berkeley.”
It would make an
interesting (and fun!) conversation piece framed and displayed in your home or
office. You could add it to your current collection, put it on display next to
other related items, or use it as a reference source for historical
research, restoration work, etc. (and would make a PERFECT GIFT for
you-know-who!).
The advertisement scan indicates the
size is approximately 5 ¾ x 9 ¼ inches. However, you will receive the complete
page measuring 6 ¾ x 10 ¼ inches in their entirety, intact and unaltered, not
clipped or cut. The pictures were scanned from the actual, original ad you will
receive (without the AdZooks watermark, of course). The paper is clean, and free of
rips, tears, creases, stains, and mildew. It will be carefully packed up using
a plastic sleeve with a cardboard backer and shipped flat (not
rolled!) to ensure that this treasure arrives at its new home in excellent
condition.
