Antique Victorian/Edwardian Arrow Bar Brooch — Rose-Cut Diamonds, Natural Pearl, Silver & Gold, c.1885–1910

A charming and wearable example of late Victorian jeweling at its finest, this arrow brooch captures the romantic symbolism of the era in elegant form. The slender rose gold bar is surmounted by a finely detailed silver arrow — its fletching set with a cascade of 10 rose-cut diamonds, its tip similarly embellished with 4 diamonds, and a lustrous natural pearl centered on the shaft.  The pearl is approximately 4.6 mm in diameter.

The silver-over-gold construction is characteristic of the finest jewelry of the period, silver being the preferred metal for diamond settings as it enhances the stones' natural brilliance. The rose-cut diamonds retain their soft, romantic sparkle — a cutting style that predates the modern brilliant and is highly sought after by collectors of antique jewelry.

The reverse shows a period C-catch pin mechanism and the warm gold tone of the bar, consistent with late 19th to early 20th century construction.

A wearable piece of history — equally at home on a lapel, collar, or scarf.

NOTE: eBay requires the inclusion of metal purity. I have listed 15 karat although that is only my best estimate.
