This is a vintage W&H DuCoil dual point distributor that fits small and big block Chevy engines. The part number is D31CB. I believe this distributor is designed to use two coils, one running on each set of points. This requires a special cap and rotor as shown. This distributor was the choice of many hot rodders and racers due to its rugged and high performance oriented design. This would be great for a vintage period correct hot rod, race car, etc. Please confirm your specific application.
This distributor is in good unrestored condition as shown. This distributor just came out of a parts collection that had been in cool dry storage since the early 70's. It is complete with the cap and rotor. It spins smoothly with no binding or sloppiness. The cap and rotor are very nice. The inside of the cap has a chip on the edge that may have been there as part of production from new, This is simply a very nice vintage true vintage high performance part.
