Up for sale is an original vintage and one of a kind item. This is the original Apollo 17 banner from the Navy's Pacific Recovery Scoreboard team. I am pretty certain this hung on the USS Ticonderoga ship or at the Naval Base Headquarters at Pearl Harbor. I am not able to find any pictures. The thick canvas banner is hand painted and signed in the corner. Also marked “Apollo” on the back. Missing one brass grommet. Lists all the missions and the headquarters were based in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Hand painted illustrations are great. In very nice condition with great color. No stains or water damage. The thick canvas material has no holes, no tears and is very strong. Measures a huge 24 feet long by 47" tall. Weight is just under 10 pounds unpacked. Very rare historic NASA space/U.S. Navy related item from this Apollo mission. I can not find another one like this and have no way of determining the value, so I put a high price on the item. Please reach out with fair offers and we can go from there. Rare item and is a must for any collector. Being sold as found and as seen in the photos. Glare spots are from the lights reflections and NOT on the actual surface. Last two photos have the background whited out.
