There is something almost alchemical about the 1928 Jewelry Company — a brand that built its entire identity around the dream of another era, crafting pieces that feel borrowed from a Victorian parlor rather than a modern showcase. This ornate locket pendant is pure 1928: a Gothic filigree bail of pierced and scrolled goldwork gives way to a slender architectural stem, which opens into a round locket engraved on both front and back with arabesque scrollwork so fine it might have been made by a watchmaker.
The locket opens to two empty oval frames — waiting, as lockets always are, for faces and names and dates. The pendant swings from a long 26-inch chain with a barrel clasp and the signature 1928 hang tag, still attached. This is the kind of piece that arrives already wearing a history it invented for itself.
Signed with 1928 hang tag. Gold tone. Barrel clasp. 26 inches.
