Item Description:

This auction is for an award badge piece that was recently purchased from a local estate. This badge measures 2.25" square. It is marked Sterling Silver with a maker mark below that. On the back it looks to have had two prongs near the top where this may have been attached to a ribbon or something but the prongs are broken off and only nubs remain (see picture 1 above the words). It is also marked Hope of Bethnal Green Lodge, O.I.C.O.T.A.S.P. Presented by the Bro's to P.C.N., Bro Tho's Heath for past services, May 4, 1892. The other side has a floral design with a wreath in the center with some sort of bird in the middle of the wreath, possibly an eagle or phoenix. This piece shows some wear and has tarnish. The badge weighs 20.8 grams.
