It has a leftward facing bust in a round medallion on the front of the handle.  The bowl has a nice, consistent gold wash.

This ladle has an unusual form, and I'm not sure what its original intended use was.

The ladle is stamped on the bottom with Gorham's hallmarks, Pat 1864 and sterling.
