OVERVIEW

The Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger cars and SUVs. Bridgestone offers a 50,000 mile warranty for all the available sizes for this model.

The model boasts a detailed tread design and a special all season compound, improving its all weather traction. With the adaptive rubber blend, the tire ensures outstanding wet, dry, and winter weather traction. The tread is densely packed with biting edges, boosting the tire's gripping ability throughout the year. Meanwhile, the rubber compound constantly adapts to the current temperature, maintaining its flexibility. The circumferential grooves take care of hydroplaning, by channeling water away from the tire's contact path.

The tire boasts a robust internal structure and a well-designed tread that absorbs the shock of driving. This greatly improves the tire's comfort levels, as it stops road vibrations at their root. As the airwaves enter the footprint, they get channeled through the tread instead of being amplified. This significantly reduces the noise levels, allowing the passengers to enjoy a quiet driving experience in the vehicle's cabin. With reduced road vibrations, the driver can fully focus on the road ahead without any distractions being in play.

The five-rib tread design stabilizes the tire against the asphalt. It makes the tire more responsive to steering, enabling the driver to command the vehicle in a prompt and precise manner.
