This pen is from older stored inventory and does not include the original box, case, storage tube, stand, papers, warranty card, manual, or original retail packaging.

The pen has a Pilot BRFN-10M black ballpoint-style refill installed. This refill appears to be from the original manufacturing/time period of the pen and still has the protective tip. Because the refill is older, Ink/refill longevity is not guaranteed, and the buyer should plan to replace the refill for best long-term writing performance.

Model/Collection Information:
The Pilot Ageless line is one of Pilot Japan’s more distinctive modern writing instrument designs. The series is best known for its unusual double-twist retractable mechanism, compact closed size, smooth cylindrical body, and clean fully enclosed writing tip.

The Ageless mechanism works in two stages. With the first twist, the retractable nose cone extends. With the second twist, the writing tip extends for use. When retracted, the writing tip disappears fully inside the body, leaving no exposed point. This gives the pen a clean closed profile and helps prevent the tip from catching, poking, or wearing into a pocket lining.

When closed, the pen retracts to a compact, pocket-friendly size. When extended, it becomes a full-length writing instrument. The smooth cylindrical body and twist mechanism also allow the pen to be operated one-handed.

Pilot made the Ageless design in different versions, including the Ageless Future and Ageless Present.

The two main Ageless body styles are:

1. Ageless Future
The Future version has aluminum / metal construction giving it a more substantial feel.

2. Ageless Present
The Present version is the lighter version of the Ageless line and was made with plastic/resin and metal components. Present models have a smoky translucent grip section. 

The Ageless line was also offered with different refill setups for ballpoint-style refills (BRFN) and gel rollerball-style refills (BLGS). These refill setups are different and should not be treated as freely interchangeable. 

For Ageless ballpoint-style (BRFN) pens, replacement refills may be found in the Pilot BRFN family.
For Ageless rollerball-style / gel (BLGS) pens, replacement refills may be found in the Pilot BLGS family.
