WWI ANGEL OF MONS MODERN SOUVENIR WORLD WAR I British Gypsum in box

An unusual limited edition ornament depicting the Angel of Mons. This derived from a legend when British solders believed they had seen angels during the battle and their presence had comforted and protected them.  The angel is made from British Gypsum and the mount is made from brass.  

Nice unusual item.

Size:-  the item, not including the ribbon measures 66mm by 55mm

Condition:-  very good condition, in original box.
