Original vintage French historical atlas map featuring two important eighteenth-century subjects: Hindoustan au XVIIIe Siècle (India in the 18th Century) and Formation des États-Unis (1776–1783) illustrating the creation of the United States during the American Revolutionary period.

The India map shows the political geography of the subcontinent during the late eighteenth century, while the United States map traces the original states and territorial development during and immediately following the War of Independence. Printed in colour with detailed place names and historical boundaries throughout.

Published by Librairie Garnier Frères of Paris and numbered 148, this is an original vintage atlas map rather than a modern reproduction.

An appealing piece for collectors of American history, colonial history, cartography, genealogy, teaching collections, or decorative display.
